Can you guys chill? This song would suck if the tuning was in the regular tuning. He has to tune it down to DADGAD to make it sound perfect! It's not Ed Sheeran's fault he can play guitar amazingly.

What are you people on about? He sings with his heart on his sleeve. His older material sometimes comes out a little flat, but what do you expect when he's performed it thousands of times? Even the older material on the whole he summons it up to perform. Just listen to it again.

What you may have picked up is he's tuned his guitar down a bit to save his voice. He might've been a bit sick when he did this performance. New record, new tour... he's probably a little under the weather and needs to look after himself, but this is still a great performance.
