Kia India's first all-electric model for India is expected to be the EV6 electric crossover and according to a recent report, it could be launched as early as June 2022.

The EV6 is based on the Hyundai Group's Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It comes with two battery options - 58 kWh and 77.4 kWh, both offered in single and dual motor versions. The 58 kWh battery with the single electric motor produces 168 BHP, while the dual-motor version has a combined output of 232 BHP.

Similarly, the single-motor version with the 77.4 kWh battery packs 226 BHP, while the dual-motor version has 321 BHP. The top-of-the-line dual-motor GT variant packs 577 BHP and 740 Nm.

Hyundai Group's EV onslaught for the Indian market includes 6 models, with the EV6 being one of them. The company has also lined-up models like the Kona Electric facelift, Ioniq 5 and e-Niro for India.
