Wow. Sends me back. Stones 1st US concert and my 1st rock concert. June 5, 1964, Swing Auditorium San Bernardino, CA
Wasn't sold out crowd, far from it. But what a show. Mick, even back then, was not the best looking man in the room. But his sexual magnetism on stage was unbelievable. Almost more than a 16 year old could handle. Definite rock music icons. Thanks for the memory. And the insight into these guys.

The Rolling Stones are considered the bad boys of rock & roll. Mick is not the best singer vocally but he has a raw quality & he has charisma. I grew up with their early stuff. My favorite era of The Rolling Stones is from the 60's British Invasion. I loved the "Flowers" album. They had a lot of great early hits such as "My Girl", "Lady Jane", "Out Of Time", "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", "Get Off of My Cloud", "Paint It Black", "Ruby Tuesday", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Honky Tonk Women", "You Can't Always Get What You Want", "Gimme Shelter" etc.

I am a longtime fan of The Rolling Stones. I saw them live in 1997. One of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. There is no lead guitarist in this band, and the musicianship is incredible. My dad, who will be 92, very shortly, told me once that he thought The Rolling Stones were garbage. Later on, my dad told me that he saw The Rolling Stones on TV. I asked him what he thought of them. He said they were good. Thanks for sharing this analysis video. Cheers, Fil! ✌️

Ah, the strolling bones, I have loved them since my teenage days, (a long, long time ago). What a performer Mick is, and how well they all fit together. Unfortunately I have never had the chance to see them live, instead I either play them very loud or slip into a bit of karaoke now and then. Great analysis Fil, as always.

www … wild Mick’s gravel voice … straight to your heart. Onya Fil for dissecting this tricky one. Gotta love their wide, open sound

It was funny to hear Fil mimicking Mick’s accent since Fil sounds more posh than Mick does. Such a great song and a product of Gram Parson’s influence on Keith Richards. Interestingly the Stones gave the song to Gram to record on a Flying Burrito Brothers album that was released a year before the Stones version came out. Great to see Fil playing again so he can demonstrate the sweet guitar licks.

I love the cigarette hanging from the mouth as if he's not in the middle of a the 60s. It's amazing that any of them are still alive. Fil, thank you for your intelligent analysis. I love your channel.

I'm not into the Rolling Stones that much, but I do like some of their songs and this is one of them. I love how you break things down in the analysis to make it understandable, watching and hearing you demonstrating it on your guitar! It was another awesome analysis.

Super interesting take on an old favorite and intriguing enough that it only hurt a little to see Charlie Watts. Awesome to see and hear you playing the guitar again!

I frikkin love Mick Jagger, I have no idea why…😂🤷‍♂️ And I especially love this version of Wild Horses, his voice is unique, and his stage presence is crazy, so chilled, yet still so cocky…
Looking forward to this (I really hope you aren’t going to tell me he is rubbish 😳🙏)
Quick edit to say - I’m so grateful that I’m not disappointed. I really appreciate your analysis, and loved the guitar demo 🥰

True story. I saw The Rolling Stones here at the Hampton Coliseum in 1980, and they filmed their "Going to a Go-Go" video that evening. My buddy and I are in the video somewhere. It was Keith Richards' 38th birthday, and I boldy declared this was surely going to be their final tour ever. I was only off by about 42 years. Additionally, that was actually the weekend Keith infamously smacked somebody with his guitar when they ran up on the stage.

We love the Stones. I was working one night 3 a.m. Mick jogs by around Washington square in philly. I jogged next to him . he invited me back to the after party of the concert. I went back to my job. Big regrets.

Fil, you really seemed to be having a great time during this video! This is a fave Rolling Stones song and Marianne Faithfull tells a great story about Mick playing this to her in hospital after her overdose back in the 60s. Thanks gor the great content!

Wild Horses, Beast if Burden, Angie, and Miss You, are hands down some of my faves. Thank you Fil for going into detail on this. It’s those little nuances you pick up on that make me listen more intently. Music keeps me alive, brings light on a dark day, and smile in sad times. I appreciate you.

Liked this selection you used for analysis to focus shortly on M.Jagger's unusual, erratic but expressive vocals. Fitting for this blues infused rock track of the Stones.

Always a treat when you are able to breakout your guitars in analysis. When you mention the band had that longevity, I smile because there are younger fans out there who don't know who Brian Jones was. enjoyed your Mick Jagger impersonation 😊
