Putin summons Stalin’s ghost:
Stalin: “What’s happened?”
Putin: “Nazis are in Kursk! What should I do?”
Stalin: “Do like I did in 1943. Send the best Ukrainian troops to the front, and ask the U.S. for arms!”

I think it’s slightly more than irritating.

I wonder what the lack of response tells Georgia, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan and countless other places that don't want to be under Russia's thumb.

No one seems to talk about the lack of minefields in Kursk.
Due to Western dithering, Russia had two years to place impenetrable minefields all over the place. In some areas they were using triple the normal mine density, making it nearly impossible for Ukraine to move forward.
No such minefields exist in Russian territory, making them far more vulnerable to an offensive there.

Zelensky is creeping up on Churchill levels of wartime leadership. As an American it makes we wish our leaders had 1/4 the spine of Zelensky. Hate him or love him you have to respect it.

Ukraine does not need to take the nuclear power plant. They can simply cut the grid to and from and force them to shut it down.

It's not humiliation. It's a special discomfiture operation.

Putin went from "Kyiv in three days!" to losing Kursk in 3 hours...

The US is furnishing Ukraine current satellite photos helping Ukrainian forces both advance and avoid encirclement.

It is so embarrassing to be Putin or support him.

Has anyone yet noticed that the Ukrainians are spreading out laterally behind the Russian lines? It would be amusing if they were to 'retreat' straight into the unprotected rear of the Russian lines.

The 2023 Ukrainian counteroffensive failed because Ukraine was pushed to launch a campaign with ZERO air support against an enemy that had been given several months to prepare a multi-layered, fully mined, defensive line and get themselves well dug-in.
No NATO force would’ve attempted such a move.
It was destined to fail before it even began.
I wish Western analysts would quit talking about it as if it was all Ukraine’s fault.
We didn’t provide them with ANY of the matériels that they needed & requested in order to pull it off.

Isn't it amazing how effective Ukraine Military can be when they don't have to worry about the Media telling Russia what they are going to do and when. Media is not on your side when you plan to surprise your enemy.

One scenario is that Ukraine does not push for more conquests but creates an atrition zone that is far less favourable to Russia than the dense minefields and artillery positions Russia has further south. Of course if Russia's defenses are weak enough Ukraine would gladly push further forward and potentially disturb Russia's military inrastructure, Kursk and Belgorod are relatively nearby.

Combined arms maneuver? Sorry, Ukraine still doesn't have an air force like the west, if they did, they'd be in Moscow. Certainly achieving tactical surprise with veteran troops against conscripts is a huge factor in their success. You do have to love the look on Putins face talking about this. You also have to wonder how much they understand calling Ukraine terrorists for invading makes them laughing stock in the world.

On a different broadcast in Russian, the people of Kursk are calling the Ukrainian army "rats" for invading their town.
Are they kidding?

Unfortunately Ukraine was forced to invade Russia because of the pathetic luke warm breadcrum support by the WEST. 😢😢

It's been a success, and it is not too early to say so. Now, it could be a qualified success or a huge one, but that is a matter of degree.
Russia was caught with their pants down and is getting their rears kicked in. Prisoners, recovered working equipment, tanks, etc. and the need to respond which has been tepid and ineffectual, and in fact counterproductive as relief columns have been destroyed.
The phycological impact alone has rocked the Russian state, which is already on shaky ground, perhaps other regions will rise up against Mother Russia, as she is a witch.
