The "AI" seems to wait for you. If you do nothing, it does nothing. If anything, it is an algorithm suggestor is all.

I recall when computers in the office and electronic documents were supposed to destroy the paper industry. Instead, offices used more paper. Also Wall St. has been predicting the death of malls since the mid 90s. Still plenty of them. 🤷‍♂️

Definitely won’t replace programmers. There are processes to programming and software development/engineering that AI can’t yet or likely will never be able to duplicate, such as creativity.

I just started learning web development about 6 months ago. Programs like this make me wonder if cyber security has more of a future.

Excellent points Stefan...just as Photoshop did not eliminate photographers and Pro Tools did not eliminate musicians, those coders who will be successful will learn to incorporate AI into their current work flows for the benefit of themselves, their companies and their clients.

We all know true AI is when we talk to our code editor and tell it we want a clone of XYZ and then it creates it and we simply choose the design and it just works. Next customer! :)
