My laptop doesnt have usb c connection just normal usb, will it work if i get an adapter? I have tried it with other docking stations like with Ugreen and its not possible

I have a couple questions. First, I’m wondering how easy it would be to use with my surface pro 5. Since it doesn’t have usb c, it had mini hdmi out. Second, what I’m trying to do is connect 2 or 3 external hard drives at once, so I can access all my downloaded content at any time (though a plex or Kodi system). So my main use is try to have all my content from my hard drives in one place and be able to play the content on my projector that I would have connected. Would this work good for what I’m looking for?

I am loving the reviews...have you found a docking station that works with an ASUS TUF FA506IV? Sorry, real question what docking station can you use that gets a faster refresh rate than 60Hz dual screen? Is there a gaming version that supports cross utilization of either FreeSync or NVIDIA G-Sync? Two monitors minimum? Thanks sir keep up the good work I just subscribed!!!

It is not 5k display, hence it will be laggy for 4k monitors
