As always Jacob, great video. However, I have a question: Roth conversion requires that you only transfer cash, correct? You can't transfer the stock shares themselves to the Roth IRA, you need to sell in the IRA account, transfer the cash, then if you'd like you can repurchase back in the Roth account. Am I correct? Thanks so much!

I am 5 years from retirement, but while I'm still working I recently changed my 401(k) so that "new money" goes into S&P500 Fund (previously, it was going into a target date fund) while leaving the "old money" in the 2030 target date fund. This is how I hope to take advantage of the market downturn.
