My theory is that in chapter 4 Huggy was running at us because he saw someone behind us and wanted to get to us before the person behind us. This is supported by huggy because it seems like he’s trying to kill us but someone else is in the room. We also know that catnap could be behind us, or even the prototype because catnap was supposedly killed by the prototype and he could have used catnaps body for the red smoke to put us asleep. That’s just my theory tho. Poppy theory also says the red smoke fills the room almost as huggy is trying to warn us, that also backs up my theory ALOT.

tbh, i really want to believe that huggy will become our ally in chapter 5, for two reasons
1. i believe that just like the other nightmare critters, huggy was leaderless, and wanted to live so he joined the prototype (basically forced into evil). but after he saw us defeat the other experiments (mommy long legs, catnap and harley sawyer) including himself, he saw us as a ray of hope to defeating the prototype, so he joins us instead.
2. when huggy bangs on the wall, it almost looks like he's trying to open to get us out of there (like PoppyTheory said, he attacked us right after he saw the red smoke appear).

1:47-2:12 I honestly see that as there literally being nothing that could be done to open the hatch after it closed so they had no choice but to continue without Kissy yet Poppy, likely thanks to her size, somehow found a way to reach Kissy
What I notice with the red smoke is that it seems to have different levels of potency: the harmless variant that puts you to sleep and the lethal variant that kills you which makes you wonder what the lethal variant's purpose was in the past or if it was just one of the game's hazards Mod added to make it more of a threat

So, throughout most of these chapters, Poppy constantly comments on how "capable" we are and then proceeds to say that "we're perfect" at the end of Chapter 2. I feel that we've been led to believe that she thinks we are "perfect" for fighting The Prototype, however, what if that's not what she means.

Instead, what if she means that we would make the perfect vessel to swap her conscience in to. It's been speculated that The Prototype may be Elliot (or at least his creation). Either way, it's quite possible that the Prototype wants what's best for Poppy and it's also been speculated that we are actually playing as a women. Both her and The Prototype agree that they could never leave because they would be experimented on all over again.

However, if Poppy left the factory in our body, nobody would be none the wiser...
