Right on dude. No one just had a straight up video like this. Thanks

My RPi 5 used to run at 65-68 deg C, sometimes 75 + under load. I was being lazy thinking it would reduce temps to maybe 55-60 range, but when I finally put the fan in, it was 35-40 and it blew my mind that such a tiny low powered CPU needs a fan to keep cool. Thanks for the simple video.

It's unusual seeing it being connected to what looks like a ribbon cable that plugs in there as PC motherboards generally have 2 pins reserved for such things, so a training video is essential! You've highlighted the importance of a cooling fan for a Pi 4, especially for games. I wonder if those small fans last longer than a year as bigger ones tend to be more durable.

Thanks, I have this exact same case. Do you know what size the screws are for the fan? My fan came without any screws. Are they M1 or M1.2 in size?

Should it be running all the time? I don't think it will stop running until I unplug it from the power, and it doesn't sound like it adjusts speed based on processor draw, if at all

In which direction is the air flowing due to the fan . Is the air going into the board or the air is pulled out from the board by the fan

Hello 👋 pc noob here. I’m getting my first raspberry pi here soon and was wondering if it would be possible to have more than one fan, (planning on making my own case to accommodate for multiple fans if it is possible)

Air flow from fan blowing out of case or blowing into it?

This is really helpful! But let's say I have some very high temperature tasks? Should I get more Airflow? As in should I get one fan pulling in air and on fan pulling out air or is that overkill? My Rasperri is Overclocked and I'm trying to make a 4k60fps Dashcam.

Hello sir. I believe I connected the fan wire correctly as I followed your video, but when I turned on the raspberry pi the fan is not spinning. Is there any problems to this or it just waits before the device is hot enough before it spins?

What if I want to install a power switch as well, meaning I would need pins 5 and 6 for that which conflicts with this, is it possible there are other ways to plug the fan in?

Does it matter which the fan is pointing? Will it push air out or pull air in? 😯

I wonered about this and watched this wideo. But later i found some instuctions on the page for my kit, but it says 1st and 3rd on the top row from the left. not second and third as in the video.
both is for the Pi 4 board.

Silly question maybe, But do we connect it so that it sucks air out the case or blows air in?

Hi! I have successfully installed the fan on my raspberry pi 4b but I have noticed that it is always working, do you know if there’s any way to turn it on only when needed (ie after a temperature threshold)? Thanks
