The EU's economy grew slightly less than expected from April to the End of June amid soaring energy and food prices. In the second quarter, the bloc's growth domestic product increased by zero-point-six percent compared to the first three months of the year, according to the latest official figures. The economies of the Netherlands, Romania and Sweden grew exceptionally strong while Germany's stagnated. Europe's largest economy is feeling the pain of reduced Russian gas flows. Fears that gas rationing could devastate the German economy are rising. The IMF has warned that Europe's industrial powerhouse is exposed to the biggest economic risk to the war in Ukraine.

The German father told his young son as he was about to use the shower " only use cold water.''
" Why ?'' asked the child.
'' Because of the sanctions to punish Russia " replied the Father.
The youngster thought for a moment & then asked " are we Russians ?''

As a Brit this isn’t exclusive to Germany or even mainlanders, even is in the UK are getting screwed by energy prices despite getting very little energy from Europe when compared to many other countries.

In my city students living in university dorms don't pay for heating. They are always leaving the heating on maximum in every room the whole day, with windows open and whatnot. Most of them just don't know how it works because no one explained to them. Not a single warning from the dorm administration. A lot of waste, and still others will have to pay a tax levy.

Well, a good opportunity to reflect on what all this has been about. Preserving Ukraine's theoretical right to join the NATO was it? Ah, and that little pesky problem of Germany having no foreign policy of its own too.

People say Germany should have never dealed with Russia. The cheap oil and gas from Russia made Germany strong and a exporting country.

EU economic successes were built on Russian cheap and readily available energy products.
India and China are now buying these Russian product with heavy discounts while the EU is buying the expensive ones.
Economic power is really shifting to the east. And Russian energy cannot be taken by force.

the funniest and saddest part of the fall of Germany is that you have done it to yourselves at the behest of your "allies"

EU:
"We will crush you with our sanctions and isolate you!"

Russia:
"Let me help you, I will shut the oil and gas supply, that way I won't receive any more of your money."

EU: *in a whiny childish voice*
"Stop it! You are being mean. You are hurting our economies by 'weaponizing' oil and gas, you evil country. Why can't you just stand there like a punching bag and let me hit you? Don't you know we're morally superior than you?"

US: "fear not EU! We can supply you with way less oil and gas for three to four times the cost as Russia (at full market price, of course cause subsidies are for pinko communists...).

Russia: **drinking a hot cup of tea**

***The EU are vassals of the US***
