DoorDash drivers are becoming the latest scam targets.

Are we gonna talk about the real scammer? Customers that tell Door Dash that they never received the order so that they get free food and the dasher ends up losing their job.

DoorDash can call you, but when they cancel a trip the order will be off your app and you’ll get a text saying it was cancelled. However, they will never send you any links to click. Drivers, stay vigilant and aware!

I received the same call as I was picking up the order. They got mad when I picked up the food order. I cursed them out and dared them to fire me when threatened. I gave the food to a homeless person and reported the scam. 😂

Doordash Almost never calls you lol. It just cancels and tells you that you got compensated.

This same scam was attempted on me doing postmates about 4 years ago. The person committing the scam is the one who actually orders the food. Somebody had ordered a $2 item from a restaurant which I thought was strange and then on the way there I got a text from what I thought was postmates saying I need to update my password for security reasons but there was a misspelling that gave it away. The guy called me then and I didn't fall for it. Postmates and doordash will NEVER ask for your password.

I had a scammer call me at my restaurant claiming that they needed to send me a new tablet. At first I thought it was legit, but as soon as he asked me my login info, my scam senses went off and I refused lol.
I'm sure many people got scammed from this one.

I do DoorDash and they actually do call you sometimes to check on where an order is, or to let you know it’s been canceled. But they don’t send links.

This has been happening more often sadly. Be aware drivers!

1. The scammers sound Indian, Doordash uses Indian callcenters so the driver definitely is convinced they are support.
2. People are called usually right after using the Doordash app.

How do the scammers get access to Doordash numbers? Does Doordash even know how employee and customer data is being handled in their foreign call centres?

Scammers seem to be legit here in the US. Why aren’t there laws created to stop these? Or who can think of how this could stop?
