Nuclear power has always been the safest form of power its just a plain fact

Live with less power?! Why? Let’s just make sure the power is clean. As society grows we’ll need more power.

"Liquid Metal" means Molten Salt Thorium Reactor.

Unless the vast majority of Americans are willing to live like the Amish (I mean no offense against their way of life), we're going to demand, in our infantile American way, more power. The only question is whether it's safe and clean, not whether innovators make a pile of $. I see many Luddites commenting below.

About time we build more atomic power stations.

All the nuclear zones that got bombed in Japan built back better and soon than what we thought was a problem

Forgetting the fact that new nuclear is more expensive than 48 hours of battery storage with solar and takes much longer to build, how will nuclear reactors meet the unique demands of data centers (especially AI data centers)? GPUs and other computer components cause microsecond demand fluctuations. Sure, power supplies have big capacitors to smooth this out, but even 1% demand fluctuations are like 10MW at the scale of AI data centers. This also doesn't account for any times where GPU demand is not consistent, such as maintainence or other downtime. In an industry where 1 year is the difference between #10 on the s&p 500 and bankruptcy, how can new nuclear reactors solve these challenges fast?

Nuclear power is the way to go . Until you find a better energy solution

isaacgloc

That's the only viable energy solution.

We need more energy for spaceships yo go to a park for no technology and chill lol

I hear if you fill the oil reserves that may help.

So they want to connect AI to a nuclear power plant.. better hope it doesn't go rogue..

If you want to see something cool, look at videos of nuclear power reactors starting up.

remove the "industry" because the AI is making the calls.
