The new addition to the family. Built in 1980 and is a "hybrid" amateur transceiver, meaning it has a solid state receiver and a vacuum tube driven transmitter. It appears and performs nearly like new.

The latest addition to the "ham shack."  I'm stunned by the condition and audio quality of this 34 year old transceiver.

...I bet that this beast could recieve a good spirit or two after an hour of a twiddle?
Maybe picking up some former ham radio engineers in spirit - compelled to communicate by being so impressed by the valves and circuit design, and their voices coming through - even when the units off?
