Thanks for this episode and this format of introducing artists. I prefer a variety of formats for the show, episodes that are instructional, ask me anything episodes, describing your guitarsinal, etc. The more varied the episodes, the better, if you ask me. Thanks for what you do, Tony.

That bedtime guitar specs bit was the best. Love that guy, his guitars are too fancy for me but I watch a lot of his stuff

Great focus on these blues artists, Tony. I've added quite a few of them to my list of "need to listen to". Keep up the good work, dude.

Love the two shows featuring blues musicians. I particularly like your enthousiasme in describing the artists. What’s interesting is that all or most are acoustic solo performers. I mention this as many of my favorite artists today are solo reso players (Charlie Parr, Charlie Hicks, Ben Powell, Jody Carroll, Karl Schwarz to name a few). Maybe a list of 11 solo reso artists?

Great topic Tony! Don't follow a lot of blues artists, so this was great!

Listing artists is always useful! That said, I think it would be far more interesting to see an entire episode devoted to you honing in on any single track of any individual artist and disseminate what aspects you think are great about that song musically, and perhaps generating ideas on what its impact could be for us acoustic guitar lovers.

This approach would be especially useful in the case of blues (as your influence will reinforce it's importance), but could work equally well with any acoustic artist.

The bonus for you is that you'd have nearly endless content material to work with. The bonus for us is that we get to engage ourselves with you on that track, potentially broadening our palates for understanding in more focused and singular way. 🙂

RE the content / approach to this show….. Yes please. It wouldn’t hurt any of us to learn about varying musical styles and history of genres, particularly as connected to the guitar.

While Delta blues isn't really my jam, I can totally respect that much of our modern music started there.
Huge props to those old dudes getting it done. That is exactly where music should come soothing salve for the soul.

AMA- Hey Tony one of the more unique and rare guitars are the early Gibson archtops with round or oval sound holes. A true archtop/flattop hybrid. Similar guitars have recently been made by Eastman. Have you ever played one and would you consider featuring one in an Acoustic Tuesday show? Thanks! Mike from Toledo

AMA TONY, if you could only have 3 guitars, which would you select? I would guess a 12 fret an OM and a resonator...but which woods or resonator style? Thankfully we don't have to choose, but my wife has asked me to select one and that's important (today it would be my D-18GE or CEO 7, but I have a sweet 40 year old Washburn Tanglewood, cedar over rosewood that is her favorite and I am a Washburn)

AMA: Hi Tony, I recently broke guitar pick while practicing guitar twice this year. (Both picks were 0.5mm)
My question to you is, have you ever broken a pick while practicing? If yes then how often do you break a pick?

AMA - Tony, love when you highlight artists you think we should know. As for AMA, I’d like to know your opinion of Goodall Guitars. I played a Goodall Parlor 14 fret, Indian rosewood back and sides, AAA German spruce top. It was the sweetest acoustic I’ve ever played. Amazing tone across the entire harmonic range, and unbelievable sustain. Thanks!

Tony, I love these artist compilations. Been playing for a year plus and have enjoyed the blues in particular, since I was a much younger man. Here’s a suggestion: look into British guitarists. Davy Graham, Richard Thompson, Donovan, to name a few. Just a thought. Peace.

AMA - Tony you're clearly vested in acoustics but are there any traditional electrics in your guitarsenal (solid body, semi hollow, hollow, etc.). I personally enjoy playing both.

AMA: Tony, have you ever delved into the area of custom commissioned guitars, either from a large producer like Martin or Taylor or Gibson or from a small independent luthier? I fell down that rabbit hole myself about 18 years ago and I think it's made me become much more aware of what are truly valuable in off the shelf guitars and what are just gimmicks.
