Richard could you pull up specifically an overlay of the ss2 and btr stage 2 truck cam vs stock On the 6.0s? I've watched all the videos but an actual visual of those two dyno graphs would be great. first time building/swapping an lq4 into my 85 gmc 4x4 and I've pretty much narrowed it down to one of the two grinds.

I like your videos, they are very informative. I wanted to know if you have a video of what heads that I can pull out of a scrap yard that will work on a 5.3 truck block from the early 2000s. I'm not looking to go wild, but when my truck ticks 350, 000 miles. I plan on a rebuild kit for it with ring gap increase. my goals are about 500 to 550, but I would like to keep as much torque as I can because I tow my car occasionally. It would be a tight budget but I have the ability and time but I'm not confident in LS applications.

211/220 at.050” lift 😅duration in 5.7l pickup on a 112 LSA. Heads flow 275cfm at .500 and 280cfm at .550 on the intake. 213cfm at .500 and 218cfm at .550 on the exhaust. The cam I chose has lift of .511/.517. My gearing is 3.73. Any chance thoughts on performance?

My takeaway is the sloppy stage 2 is the kind of cam profile you want for a low to mild $ build.

I like this guy. I'm a genuine asshole most of the time, I'm kinda grouchy or short fused when it comes to allot of people and their bullshit but I like watching him do these dyno tests and things and not dragging through the videos. Allot of good knowledge and no nonsense. The other thing I like is you don't leave things out, it literally pertains to someone that can only afford junk yard parts or swapping what's laying or an Amazon or eBay turbo kit for a few hundred or someone who can throw on two 98 millimeter turbos and a with nitrous and a bullet proof engine to take it all. Great job and a very likeable person.

There’s a reason why the ss2/Elgin cam has become so popular. It just works.

That sloppy stage 2 would be much fun for a simple N/A street/occasional strip deal. Nice.

I remember when I was cam shopping a year ago I was looking for this kind of video so I could get a reference. This video is honestly great. Just want to say thank you for taking the time do the test 4 different times.

That sloppy cam is the terminator of daily driven truck cams. Thanks sloppy 🤘

The more I watch this channel, the more I realize there’s really no reason to rebuild the Olds 455 or 350sbc sitting in my garage.

I have a ss2 cam and I was thinking of putting a stock cam in my 6 litre to save some low rpm power with the stock converter in my truck, then my buddy put me on to this video.
ss2 cam it is!

Thanks again Richard for your tireless efforts in the hot rod community 🤟🏼

Dude! I am so happy you did this comparison. I always wanted to know how the sloppy stage 2 held up against other big name cam shafts. If the trick flow specialty track max cam held up to their trifecta claim of more torque, more horsepower and no loss of power down low. And if the track max cam and the sloppy stage 2, were one and the same. I got all my question answered in one video! Kudos to you.

Pretty sure you just sold me on a Sloppy stage 2 for my 6.0 tow rig. It’s the only cam that didn’t lose power down low and still has some nice mid to high rpm gains. Thanks for doing these tests!

I don't need 5750-7000 rpm top end 550hp

I need that 400-550 hp+torque. 5500rpm and below

Got and suggestions
