not a bad first career pass

During the college football game between Utah State and Oregon State, Utah State backup QB Cooper Legas came into the game... even though he has zero career passing attempts. On the first play he came in, he dropped back to pass and threw a beautiful 62 yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7. Oregon State and Utah State are tied at 7-7 in the second quarter of the 2021 LA Bowl.

Went to highschool with him! We call him Coop (shocker I know). He was a freshman when I was a senior and I got to play ball with him for a season, he’s the nicest most humble guy, still is. Fun fact about him. Our highschool was always pretty mediocre at football and hadn’t won a state championship since the early 90’s. His Junior year, when our coaches finally made him the starting QB, he led the team to its first state championship win in 24 years. He then proceeded to win state in wrestling and the javelin that same year. Then his senior year he took state in football, wrestling and the javelin again! He’s a legend at Orem high. Glad he finally got to show the Utah State coaches what he was capable of all along. Excited to see what’s in store for him next year! Y’all watch for him!!

I'm friends with Cooper's father (Adam), and his father has been so amazing to him, helping him work on his skills growing up. Cooper is amazing and I will be surprised if he doesn't end up as one of the top NFL quarterbacks. He is very fortunate to have such a loving and caring father. Good luck to you Cooper!!!!
