Bought it, love it, side notch is unique and photos are great. Generation ago all phones had front cameras on right or left side and nobody complained. Following that logic all phones should have back cameras in the middle.

Redskull : Hello Alex ! Yes, interesting phone with half decent features including the processor Helio p32, only problem with the Cubot is the lack of O.I.S./E.I.S. = No optical or electronic image stabilisation mentioned on this phone, why not ??? Thanks

Hi Alex, so on your review I bought the Mi A2 Lite and it is my first phone that has a notch. Wasn't sure how it would go. 2 days later my mind ignored the notch and the phone is just great. Performance way above it's price point! So I think it would be the same with this phones notch for most people. Keep up the great reviews!

Not keen on the notch myself. I was considering buying this phone because I want a very big screen but I'm not sure and will keep looking.

I had this idea. Looks like it was a terrible idea. But the thing is, it was supposed to be much much smaller and positioned on the very top of the phone! And a squared phone like the galaxy note, not this one with rounded corners. This implementation takes so much space.
Another missed opportunity is making that top bar black so it just dissapears.

Honest and informativ! It all sounds nice, until the screen. Thats where they cut the corners in more than one aspect. 480p is lowend in 2019. But what about audio and video calls, when you test it, test Skype, Whatsapp and standard calls too.

I could live with the notch but why did they put it in the corner like that ?? Don't like the low screen resolution. I'm sure the Chinese could come up with a better screen resolution than that and still keep low price ... It would have made this model more desirable. Thx for video

I have owned it for six months now and just replaced it with another phone. The Cubot is basically the best Android Phone I’ve ever owned but has two problems which have kept it from being my favorite all time phone. The camera is very mediocre and seldom produces a stunning picture, especially indoors. But what has hurt the most is the phone is only compatible with 2g in the U.S. and though it is minimally usable as a phone it has to be connected to wifi to utilize other features. Otherwise, this is a superb phone! And no, that notch on the side is not a problem in the least and is no more a distraction than a notch in the middle might be.

this phone is actually interesting in another way. The fact that it's trying to copy a Samsung phone, not iPhone, is pretty much a new tech trend since those Chinese brands been copying iPhones since 2007
