5 Times Trunks Was HEAVILY Underestimated (Dragon Ball)

5 times Dragon Ball's Trunks was slept on by his enemies.

Ever since Future Trunks was shown in Dragon Ball Z, he’s become a fan favorite. When Trunks was only a teenager, he was underestimated many times by his enemies. To highlight these instances and to give Trunks some well deserved showtime, we’re going to look back at some of the moments where he was heavily underestimated. We’re only going to consider Future Trunks and not the present one.

First off, Trunks was underestimated by King Cold and Frieza. Their scouters only showed Trunks had a power level of 5. Yet, Trunks easily dispatched of King Cold and Frieza in no time. Next, Trunks was underestimated again by Cell, who thought that Trunks would stand no chance since his father didn’t. Trunks was able to buy enough time by turning into a Super Saiyan Grade III. Next, Trunks was underestimated again by Babidi, but he turned into a Super Saiyan 2 and killed Dabura. Lastly, he was underestimated by Zamasu and Black.

The way Trunks just showed up and turned a straight menace into chopped liver will always be legendary. A true glitch in the system no one expected at the time.

Future Trunks is my favorite character, and here's a quick explanation as to why: Not only does he have a very cool and unique look (especially when he goes SSJ) but more importantly, he's a combination of both Vegeta and Goku if you think about it. He has heart, and isn't afraid to fight for what's right, fighting for all the people that can't fight for themselves but also, he has a dark quite side, which is a HUGE plus in DBZ, considering people (including sayians) TALK WAY TOO MUCH especially during a fight. Where as, Trunks might trash talk some (example: right before he fights Frieza) but he's mostly business. He finished off Frieza, his father and their henchmen without hesitation. The same goes for Android 17, 18, and Cell (in his timeline) My Favorite by far, I just wish they allowed him to continue to be a the same character he was introduced to us as.

Trunks wasnt more powerfull than Vegeta when fighting imperfect Cell, Vegeta just knew that this form lacks in speed, so he didnt use it.

From the moment Trunks first came along (from the future) he was so freaking cool, taking out Frieza and his dad peice of cake. Later in that android and cell saga, he continued to be a secret weapon of mass destruction, and for the limited chances he got to come to the party, he was absolute gold (spoiler alert he wasn't the final finisher though).
