Hey Josh, is the spec right for this reel? In regards to braided line, Daiwa’s website is saying that 2500-XH holds 10 more yards of 30lb than 3000-CXH. I would a assume the 3000 would have the deeper spool, unless I’m reading it wrong.

It’s Not because I’m doing something wrong, I’ve fished 60 ft from John skinner & kept up with him or better. Just no fish to warrant spending more than 200$ on total set up.

If there were half the fish from 08, I would spend 5k like nothing, my honey hole has no oxygen, I used to catch 25 in 3 hours. I can’t even do that in 25 trips. I sold my house on that was on center island, red tides, golf course pesticides in the sound

Save your $$$ guys. Nothing in the sound unless u own a boat. Use ur platform to bring attention to what’s going on. Can u imagine how much shit u would sell if ppl could catch 20-25 stripe bass. Instead of 9 for total summer. There taking 3x more menhaden out the ocean now. So how could there be fish

Do you want to catch no fish on a 900$ reel or 0 fish on a 89.99 combo, half the sound is a dead zone, south shore ain’t to far from it. Save your $$$

No need to spend that $$$ no fish, your gonna spend that to catch 8 fish over 2 seasons, 75% less fish in Long Island, the sound has low oxygen. Get a 80$ set up. Sad but true.
