Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro Review | Better than Pixel Buds Pro?

Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, fresh true wireless earbuds for 2022 with ANC, 24-bit audio support and strong support for Sammy's other gadgets. This verdict includes a comparison vs the Pixel Buds Pro, two of the best Bluetooth wireless earphones for a premium price.

It's a close call on most levels - these Samsung earbuds offer better audio quality, but only if you have a Galaxy smartphone, while Google's Pixel buds sport the best assistant support. But for ANC smarts, design and features, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are equal to the Pixels. Battery life goes to Google, as these earphones can only manage just over five hours of playback with noise cancelling active. And both serve up a compact case with wireless charging support.

So that's my review of the Samsung Buds 2 Pro, upgraded true wireless earbuds that aren't cheap but worth that cash. As long as you have more Sammy gear for them to get along with. What do you reckon, tempted even at that high asking price?

I received mine today and so far I love them! Great sound, noise cancelling has improved a lot over the previous Buds Pro, and most importantly, the fit! It's a lot better and they don't fall out of my ears like the Buds Pro did.

Got the Buds 2 Pros for my birthday, was really surprised cause I've just gotten used to cheap £20 wireless earphones I usually buy from Amazon. So I put them on after we got out of the shop, was surprised by the active noise cancelling as I haven't watched or read about the features before so I thought I've lost hearing and took em off to check 😂 the sound quality is good and good as all my techs are Samsung so I can connect ans listen on both my phone and tablet at the same time which I think is really useful

I just ordered a set today from Samsung. They were 229.99 USD but they gave me 75.00 USD in a trade of my Galaxy Buds and also threw in a wireless charging pad with travel adapter (supposedly a 59.99 USD value). I feel it was a pretty good deal that way. Can't wait till I get them now.

just ordered the s24 ultra and it comes with a set of these. Looks like they are better than my current set so I'll be keeping them. Looking forward to the phone (your reviews helped my decision)

Looks like I'm keeping my (Still great sounding) Galaxy Buds 1 Pro for a while longer. I'm currently not maining a Samsung Phone for that 24bit audio support, so I wouldn't benefit much from switching anyway. The battery life is still decent on the Pros, and I've never had a problem with the fit like many people have.

Great review. Having pixel phone myself I'm happy I opted out for pixel buds pro (following your review). Shame samsung buds require samsung gear to really shine, altho same can be said for apple buds as well :) I did find the mic test sounding kinda muddy on the Samsung buds here (studio test)... traffic test sounded better for some reason

I received mine today like many of us.
Just an honest background who I am.
I am one of those audiophile nuts, about 30+ years. Not to brag, but my stereo is about 20k.
So far I have owned original Galaxy Buds, own 2 pairs of Buds Pro (1 at office, 1 for home), and now this new Buds2 Pro
Buds2 Pro sound quality is far superior to the original Pro.
Particularly channel separation and little detail.
I love these Buds2 Pro! Big thumbs up!

I just bought the pixel buds pro and I'm using a S21 ultra . Works well with the pixel buds app . Planning to return to the pixel lyf as my next phone

Cool I got these with my Zflip4 pre order. I had the 1st version.. lost one a few months ago on a flight and kinda miss them... although now I'm using the old 1st gen galaxy buds that have been working great.

Noticed your voice didn't sound as clear as I've heard people on some buds. Wondering if noise cancellation wasn't being as effective as it could be. Got both Buds ± and Buds pro and tested recording of my voice which usually sounds clear without to much distortion.
