"My dog could've done that. I would've trained him to." This is why Jordan remains my favourite.

Emma is to be commended! I commend you for your articulate logical arguments, Emma. However, Jordan is spot on about EW.

ya she's better than the rest of congress but t(hat's a low bar... jordan's saying (and i agree) that she has faults and there's legit skepticism and lots of questions surrounding her..

Sorry Emma. I respect both you and Jordan very much, but I have to agree with Jordan on this one.

By not endorsing Bernie and standing with the chosen Wall Street candidate, she told every CEO she ever grands stands with that at the end of the day she's all talk

She is progressive. She's made a mistake or she thought it would work out better, it's disappointing but that doesn't erase her long history of fighting for progressive values.

Love ya Emma, but Jordan is 100% right on this one. There are sign post moments in people's lives, where their actions tell you exactly who they are, and Warren failed in the biggest one she will likely ever face. It's sad but true. What she did the other day is political theater.

Now that she's not going to be VP she wants her street cred back.

I still respect Warren's work but if the roles were reversed and she was running against Hillary, you know damn well that Bernie would be on the campaign trail for her, fighting for a fellow progressive. If she had stood by Bernie early on, not only would he have won Massachusetts, but I think it would have helped establish him because early on he was still trying to get his name out there.

I'm with Jordan on this one. It is disheartening when someone lets you down on such a crucial moment.

Jordan, someone can make the same argument that you are making now against Bernie. Bernie could endorse Stein if his only concern is helping American people. And her attacking the banker is unrelated to her not supporting Bernie. And Bernie is also making a political calculation. Why is Warren's calculation so unforgivable that we have to bring it up every time she does something else good?

I agree with Jordan as well, but he should give her more time to explain her point of view even if he doesn't agree. Also making the "that you love" and "media and progressives like you" references doesn't really support his talking points. Just explain the ways you don't like Elizabeth Warren, that's it. Things like that can lead to arguments and misunderstandings. If Elizabeth Warren didn't do what she did to Bernie, I'd agree with Emma. She held her own and did a great job. That said, I think Jordan and Emma are wonderful, make a great team, and *exactly* the type of journalists we need.

I think they're both right. But Emma makes great points. You can be progressive and strategic. Elizabeth Warren fucked up big time but Jordan is holding everyone to an impossible standard and applying nuance to Bernie and not to Elizabeth Warren. I'm more with Emma but my heart is also still bruised by her lack of Bernie endorsement.

nice format, while addressing each other you were BOTH still incredibly informative to those of us figuratively eaves dropping.

jordan is right. she is yelling about punishing bankers who commit fraud or preside over fraud and when she had the chance to support a presidential candidate who would actually implement laws and punishment to protect the people from these banksters she chose to support the candidate who literally is paid by them.

While I was upset with Bernie for distancing himself from Canova, I do agree that what Warren did was far worse, if only because she had a chance to really help push progressivism on a huge national stage and she shied away from it to simply latch onto whoever won the primaries, afterwards.

I think also, perhaps, it's Warren's fanbase that is somewhat causing people to be turned off by her. They toot and holler whenever Warren 'bravely' tweets out against Trump, or yells at a corrupt Banker after he's been caught. Those are easy things to do. Would she get points for making fun of Hitler or Stalin, too? That's not hard, and she's not a tougher person for doing any of it.
