Going Walkabout is a mobile travel blog and in this episode I explain how I made it ready for multiple languages and locales

In this series you can follow me building and extending the mobile travel diary app. You see me making functional and technical decisions while implementing the app. I start with an iPhone app and a web backend when required, an Android app is planned and will follow later.

It’s a hobby project and I spend about a day a week on the development and a day a week on the filming of the progress.

Thanks, good explanation of Flutter localizations. One of the better ones I have seen so far. I like the approach with the translate lookup function where the lookup keys are in plain readable text as well, the "coded" text basically. This is a very common approach in other frameworks as well, but I have not really seen it so much in Flutter yet. Do you know of any existing tools for Flutter that would already extract the text strings in a translate function and populate the json lookup file(s)? Or arb file or whatever other format they might support out of the box.
