It's a network media streamer for your TV. It allows you to stream internet and local media content to your television.

The official Boxee remote app is an iPhone/iPod app and I wanted to focus on the iPad since that's the only iOS device I have. Also this video is just about remotes so I didn't cover the official Boxee app which contains no remote functionality. It's good that you mentioned them though in case someone watching this video didn't know that they existed.
