Lyrics :

Don't ask me what you know is true
Don't have to tell you
I love your precious heart
I,I was standing,
You were there,two worlds collided
And they can never tear us apart

We could live for a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I'd make wine from your tears
I told you that we could fly
Cause we all have wings
But some of us don't know why

I,I was standing,
You were there,two worlds collided
And they could never, ever tear us apart

Guitar Solo :

Don't ask me what you know is true
Don't have to tell you
I love your precious heart
Oh I,I was standing,
But you were there, two worlds collided
And they could never tear us apart

You...(don't ask)
You were standing
I was there
Two world collided
And they could never tear us apart

Oh but I,I was standing,
You were there,two world collided
And they could never, never tear us apart

Michael Hutchence would be proud. Rest in peace, Joe.

INXS has always been one of my favorite bands—their music was harmonious, simple, and captivating. But Joe Cocker had a voice like no one else—raw, soulful, and unmistakable. He doesn’t just cover Never Tear Us Apart, he reshapes it and becomes something entirely his here—gritty, emotional, and powerful. I’ve listened to this version over and over, and I have to bet that Michael would’ve been very impressed with it. Joe truly made it unforgettable. Listening to good music is just the best and easiest form of meditation.

The great Joe Cocker. A testament to the song writing talent of Hutchence and Farrris. Somewhere they’re singing a duet.

Absolutely brilliant. This song is my all time favourite and to see a legend like Joe Cocker sing this master piece is just brilliant. Michael Hutchence would be smiling from heaven.

I was lucky enough to see Joe in 2001. I wish we had the video cameras then that we do now, cause it was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. A true Legend! ✌🏻❤️🦋

You know why Joe Cocker was always brilliant.
Because he always sang with his heart and soul.
Just look at the expression on his face when he sang !!!

Never knew that Joe Cocker covered this. I've loved this song ever since the first time I heard INXS do it back in Jr high school in 1987 and still love it today in 2022 and I'm now 48 years old. Honestly didn't think I was going to like it when I saw the thumbnail here on YouTube however I'm glad that I gave it a chance because it is pretty darned good and I really enjoyed giving it a listen.
Good job Mr.Cocker
