It's weird to think, but this may have been the first "major" award that Marty ever won. Certainly at least one of the first televised awards that he got. And it would take another 4 for him to get the Oscar.

Pity you didn't know what Havery was upto in his day job Marty - you wouldn't be thanking him so quick then. But this film deserved more than what it got. The Oscars was a total disgrace to all involved in the amazing epic film. I mean honestly how can you keep on honouring Roman Polanski with Best Director when he's a damn fugitive?
