"You can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half."

Steve is the Leafs MVP of the Salary Cap era honestly. He put in more heart into those 16 years of videos than any of the players combined.

You can just see the hope die in real time.

You could just see Steve`s soul leave his body when the Panthers scored.

Love you Steve. Thanks for putting it into words just exactly how I and so many others feel every week. This one really really hurts

That's the grind. You win one round, and it feels like your team is invincible, but sooner or later they most likely run into either bad luck or a better team. Seeing my team win out for four rounds for the first time was an amazing feeling, and makes up for all the disappointment, but until you get there its just pain. Its on management to go back to the drawing board once again, and this time, they've got big questions to answer between now and next year's trade deadline. Keeping Matthew's should be their priority, but they need to get an answer from him soon. On the off hand chance he wants to leave, they have to get something for him.

As a Bruins fan, I thought I would enjoy this a lot more. Steve legit looked like he was going to cry and it actually made me feel bad for him.

I just want to say respect for dealing with the loss with respect and not throwing you toys out the pram. Over here in the UK the soccer "fans" watch along never accept defeat in a courteous manner and act like children but you were great. Good job buddy

Love you, Steve.
Thank you for your efforts.

Despise the Leafs…most of their fan base. I do, however, appreciate Steve’s ability to be as unbiased as a fanatic can be when talking about his own team. It’s a rarity for someone to be that passionate and honest when his team both succeeds AND fails. Having hope and expectations but not being clouded by reality is an admirable characteristic. The fact of the matter was, Florida was better. They’re built better and were coached better, especially for playoff hockey. It’s a different beast and they aren’t gritty enough to plow through round after round.

As if leafs fan were really expecting them to come back from 3-0 deficit. Let's get real and make moves to trade some players along with a good goalie . I cannot emphasize how much I miss Cujo, just watching him move around the net, he was a pure beast and we need a goalie like him
