There's something called Anti Petya Live CD which generates a decryption key based on your personal decryption code.

Note:
On a real PC / laptop with dead battery, pull the plug out as soon as you see the CHKDSK screen. This ensures that you have the maximum chance of reviving the PC. If you accidentally let it go over 500 sectors then DON'T attempt to fix it. Boot into a Live Linux USB and use some softwares to get the code for decryption
I may create a Windows 7 VM for experimenting and torturing the VM until something like this happens

On a physical computer, once you see the CHKDSK screen, immediately shut off the computer using the physical power relay button. The CHKDSK screen is fake and isn't actually checking anything. However, once the CHKDSK screen gets to over 500 sectors, it will overwrite your boot sector and install Petya's malicious lockdown boot sector.
