To begin with, I personally would not want to wear that ring for obvious reasons but she is stuck with that expensive albatross so she grins and bears it. But, on non-public days it is likely a relief not to wear it. Her actual wedding ring is made of yellow Welsh gold that all Princesses of Wales wear once they are married. A simple gold band. Diana’s taste tended toward the opulent and fussy when she was young, witness her wedding dress.
