Armed Forces Day 2021: Princess Royal Leads Special Tribute At National Memorial Arboretum

A special event has taken place at the National Memorial Arboretum celebrating the incredible work and dedication of the UK's Armed Forces personnel.

The pandemic cancelled last year's national event in Scarborough, but this year a celebration on a smaller scale has been allowed, as Claire Sadler reports.

Shame the cheque presentation to the NMA on behalf of the Ride to the Wall charity wasn’t mentioned, £115000 this year, totalling 1.2 million overall.

I'm amazed that you completely omitted the Ride To The Wall charity who donated over £1.2 million to the NMA to keep admission free for the relatives of fallen heroes to attend & remember. Their attendance was so prolific that you must have actively gone out of your way to avoid them? What a shame, considering the hard work they do to fundraise for the benefit of this remarkable location.
