I bought the 13 mini starlight last year. It's insane. After more than a year, I still have 98% battery capacity left, works like a charm, and the display and camera are outstanding. one of my best iPhone buys ever. Do have to admit using my XR on wifi at the side a lot as well. Still absolutely love that red brick and old fashion retina display.

Talking about older iPhone models, you mentioned the design and the performance. However, for some people, a phone is just that: a phone. I have an SE2 and not going to change it until I'll be forced to. It has the perfect size (fits in a pocket) and it does everything I need it to do.
For me, the phone has never been a symbol of my status. I only bought the iPhone because I had to.
When I buy a phone, it has to answer two simple questions:
1. Does it do what I need?
2. Will I cry if I break it?
If the answers are Yes and No, respectively, then that's the phone for me. I don't care about the design. They're all rectangular pieces of equipment, anyway. And I could not care less about the phone frame. I'll use a case anyway.
My eyes do not make the difference between 400 nits and 600 nits, anyway. Or between an LED and AMOLED display. So yeah, phone makers are not making much money with guys like me...

just upgraded to the iphone 15 from the 13, i think its a massive push people saying that the 15 isnt much better. i know its a byproduct but the usb-c makes it feel like a whole new phone, not having to deal with accessibility issues because apple want you to buy their cable. it kinda feels like the freedom of android but the polished and professional apples ios.

The 13 Pro is the best one to get right now because it has better battery life than the 13, 2gb more ram so it will fare better with updates, and it has a brighter screen than the 13 with promotion. It would be the 14 pro except people have reported battery longevity issues.

I got an iPhone 12 3 years ago when it first came out (after using a 6S for five years). It still works perfectly fine. No need to give greedy Apple anymore of my money!

True 12 mini battery not the greatest. However I’ve had my 12 mini for two years and it’s fine for me. Battery stopped at 100% capacity.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and it does it for me. I just don’t need the whole power of the phone and the display is great. Cameras are also good for regular use

I was on the brink of buying an iPhone 13 Mini until I learnt that the 15 Pro has USB C. That alone changes everything for me. I think that all of the existing Lightning models (iPhones, iPads) will start feeling prematurely ‘old’ in a couple of years – especially if new apps and uses are enabled by USB C. I’m looking forward to less cable clutter!

I recently had my 11 Pro Max battery replaced about 3 weeks ago and they broke it in the process at Best Buy. They tried to order me a replacement 11 pro max but they couldn’t source one. So Apple went above and beyond and sent me the 15 pro max (same gb config I had before) since I waited 3 weeks for a replacement. And I must say I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on these new high refresh rate screens. They are absolutely stunning. I’m a pc gaming snob so I’ve used high refresh rate monitors for YEARS. I’m not sure if a normal person would particularly notice the difference or care but my goodness, that is the biggest standout difference between the 11 pro max and 15 pro max.

I bought an iPhone 11 still sealed in December 2023 . It doesn’t bother me in the slightest that it looks dated. It functions how I want it to and that’s all that matters to me .

nah 11 pro max is still good for the use.I am currently using one and has no plan to change unless they no longer support software update.

I bought a 13 Pro just as the 14 was about to come out. It had just dropped by $100 for new ones, so I went ahead and got that one. It still has 100% battery health (which is insane for this length of time) and it runs really quick and snappy. I tend to buy a phone and keep it a while (my prior phone had been an 8 Plus), and I think this one is going to stand the test of time as well. I just haven't seen any phone yet that has moved me to upgrade.
