Trevor Phillips thinks that world leaders "need to stop patting" Greta Thunberg on the head and actually act on her demands.

But Nick Ferrari believes the climate change activist's language may have "gone too far" and she is "is frightening other children".

We dont need to discuss we need to act, now.

I like the way that no-one around that table questioned whether CO2-driven global warming is real, or is an issue at all. That's how to control the narrative - First, have someone say something that's absurdly histrionic, and then make it seem that the voice of reason comes from people who say almost the same thing, but not so melodramatically.

Let's talk about the war machine, depleted uranium, pollution, Diego Garcia, Marshall Islands and the radiation from all the military tests carried out, cancers of the local populations.
Sellafield and the Irish Sea.
Barrels of nuclear waste from Europe dumped off the coast of Somalia.
Nobody is talking about any of that

I dont understand why nationalists are not using the climate change argument to stop mass immigration. This is a great opportunity to argue the case that we need less migrants and encourage world wide birth control policies. Its a great way to argue a case for stopping mass immigration without being called racists.

Why can wee still get 30-40 year mortgage from the bank if we’re going to be on an extinction level event.

A lot of people aren't prepared to accept the truth of the situation, nor our collective responsibility for it, and I think anger and vilification is a common initial response.

Plus there's a schizophrenic element in our collective conscious whereby people are bombarded with the ideology of limitless growth capitalism and simultaneously they're being told that this way of life is destroying us. And this is painful for us.

My Dad was getting angry whilst watching a nature program about whales because "... they always insist on putting in a bit at the end about how they're all dying and we need to throw away less plastic cups!!...". In other words, he didn't want his serenity of mind to be disturbed.

Anyway, all of this is a childlike response and displays an unconscious resistance to the fundamental fact that making a few superficial changes isn't going to be enough and that we need to change the whole direction our lives are headed.

This is still only a dimly perceived fact for the vast majority of people and media outlets.
