A quick exercise to achieve your dreams.

The Perfect Week Exercise is a great way to figure out how you actually want to spend your time - and what's currently standing in the way.

It also happens to be one of the favourite exercises of Ali Abdaal, the world's most followed productivity expert.

In this video, you'll learn how to use a few of Notion's most recent feature releases to do the perfect week exercise in three simple steps:

1. Add the activities you want to do during your perfect week
2. Timeblock your perfect week using Notion Calendar
3. Track how you actually spend your time

Once done, you can quickly review how your ideal ordinary week stacks up against your reality (and make the adjustments necessary to get closer to your dream life)

planning to implement something like this in my notion life planner. i have a self-improvement database, which is structured into different aspects of my life, much like the "buckets" in this tutorial, so setting up time blocks for those aspects would be wonderful to actually get me to work on them, right now they unfortunately just kind of exist and don't do much, apart from making me realise i haven't really been following any of my hobbiea due to uni stress 😅

Excellent video, can you do a detailed video exactly how you set up getting the time taken to work. Can you have a pause. i.e you are working on something and you have to stop to help a colleague or take an important call.

Thanks for this, it would look cool integrated into the Tasks (activity) and Projects (bucket) database.

Great effort. I must admit that you are a master of notion. But I have a kind request: Why don't you make this only template free to use Please 😊

Great template! Does it actually block the slots in my Google calendar? If I put the effort into planning my perfect week, it'll be great to block the planned slots, avoiding someone is scheduling a meeting at those times.

machst du das auch alles genau so wie du es planst, oder läuft der tag trotzdem so ab, als gebe es garkeinen plan?

Is it easier to add the bulk tasks for the week and then place them at their times separately when in calendar ? As opposed to just adding a day and time in notion?
