Stablecamper / A Must get for a Truck Camper / Future Mod Ep2

When we originally bought a Northern Lite Truck Camper we honestly didn't know too much about Truck Campers. We very quickly learned that when they are off of the truck, they can be a bit wobbly standing on their Happijacs. During some online research, we found out about a product called the Stablecamper. The Stablecamper really does make your truck camper more stable.

If you're interested, please check out their website to see if they have one for your truck camper, thankfully they did for ours.

And, they have other cool stuff too, not just for a truck camper but for all campers.

I have seen people leave the camper on the truck because of wind and then have to pack up just to drive around This is perfect and another must have. Great and thanks!

We have the same camper but with swing out brackets for the duallys. Actually found out that I had to make some 1 1/2" extensions in addition to the brackets in order to clear our 20" tires...ugh. I was thinking of making some low level saw horses for the stability and to take some of the stress off the brackets with the swingouts. We like putting the camper as low as we can and love the option of flipping up our stairs...it's something we always did with our Adventurer 86SBS. Anyway, after seeing this video and the StableCamper video with the dually swingouts, I'll be ordering a set of these as soon as I finish typing this. Great solution and great video guys!

I feel like an idiot but, I never knew about this project. As soon as I get done writing this, I'm looking them up and placing an ordering for a set. That answers the problem I'm been have, trying to to my camper from swaying when off the truck. Thank you for the info, 😁

Might wanna spooge a little 3m 4200 on those screws. I don't have my campers supported solely with the jacks for long periods, but those side struts would be good to have in place when loading/offloading, especially on uneven ground when the campers wobbling all over, dragging on the box :))

Wow that's a great idea ! But now I will have to take my sing off if it's rocking don't come a knocking. Lol but the wife will like it she things it's a give away in the camp ground if we keep it in a rhythm lol

Looks like a good investment, however my sweetie married a drummer before, she had to come to her senses years ago and is now with a wannabe guitar player. Life is Good!

Hey Jeff, I know you had a Lance 1172 before. Do you think these would help immediately after unloading from the Ram3500 dually (the camper legs are basically fully extended due to the height ifllof the truck bed..) ... Would it help to attach these right away before lowering the camper so that thd legs cannot splay out to the side under tension? I'm always so concerned because it seems like my legs want to wander outward and inward regardless of how careful I am to raise it up and down evenly. Even to the point where the back driver side panel just above the generator at the horizontal seam wants to let the fiberglass panel itself pull out from the seam vertically causing a bow in the panel and cracking the side of the camper. I'm wondering if something like this might stabilize the legs so that there's less torque ripping the camper and self apart
