Reform UK and Nigel Farage’s dramatic return to lead the party has been one of the biggest stories of the general election campaign.

Reform had been beginning to drop a little in the opinion polls in the weeks before the snap election was called, but Mr Farage taking over sent support surging instead.

But what political impact is the party really having? What policies are they proposing beyond tougher immigration measures? And how successful can they be on election day?

Nigel Farage is a realist. He has said he has no idea how many seats Reform will take but in a way that’s not the point. He is changing politics for the better and moving the Overton window over to right of centre - the natural home for many in this country, who have been ill served by both the Labour and Conservative parties. Finally the unsaid is being said loud and clear and if the Left doesn’t like the politically oppressed having a voice that’s just tough.
