Hey man awesome stuff. I would not worry about your uniform not matching in shades. It was and still is Common to see mix match faded cammies or utilities. Also wouldn't worry about the stamp on your blouse your either. if you want to try to get a pair of m51 boots you can go to world war II impressions by Paramore and boots and modify them to be m51 boots that's what me and my buddy did and it worked out great. Keep up the good work brother.

Awsome collection. The m56 gear really all depends on the unit. Hue is pronounced way. The frame is a Plywood pack board originally for prc10 ww2 radio and other heavy/bulky loads like mortar rounds/mortar base plate ect. Upper pack is called a haversack and the lower pack is called the knapsack.

Hello, can you show a video of you wearing all that gear because I have a very similar collection like what you just showed on this video and I’m trying to get ideas

M56 stuff is occasionally seen (usually suspenders when seen, not the compass first aid pouch. It is so uncommon though that you might as well just not use it. Mixing and matching of M56 gear in marine units doesn’t seem to be commonplace until 1967.

Your boots are incorrect, but boots are a really shitty situation for early war Marine reenactors. The Marines landed with M1951 leather boots. Technically they were supposed to switch to the McNamara boots in 1962 but they were still using up stocks of M1951 boots early war. Later in 1965 and going into 1966, you begin to see 2nd pattern jungle boots. Both M1951 boots and 2nd pattern jungle boots are pretty hard to come by today (if you do have them you probably shouldn’t wear them to outtings). I fudged it for a bit with McNamaras until I got my hands on some M1951s.
