For those of us hanging into a 6S because they can’t see themselves paying $1000+ for a phone, this is a great option.

Apple is pretty smarts actually. They knew other companies will follow them in terms of pricing when they released $1000 iPhone X in 2017. Almost all companies follow them. 3 years later they released $399 iPhone SE, compared to OnePlus 8 pricing that getting close to $1000. You can say anything about Apple. But you can’t deny their marketing team is sick af.

Points to notice:

• The iPhone SE features wireless charging, whereas even though OnePlus 8 costs $699, it doesn't.

• The iPhone SE comes with an IP Rating of IP67, which means it can be submerged in a meter deep water for 30 minutes, which is by the way, still better than the OnePlus.

• The iPhone SE also features A13 Bionic, which is the fastest processor in a phone, period. And comparing benchmark scores with the Snapdragon 865, it's clearly evident which processor performs better. Even in the real world usage, A13 outperforms the Snapdragon 865 in every certain way.

• iOS is, just simply put, more than an operating system. It is, by far, the most secure mobile operating system worldwide, moreover, it holds many exclusive apps (of which iMessage is an example) and games which Android world is deprived of. iOS is way advanced in special features which it introduces exclusively on its supported devices, which Android usually copies lateron. Moreover, software updates for the iPhone is usually a long term deal. It gets updates for as long as six versions which Android can't compete with in any way as such.

• Cameras on the iPhone SE support portrait mode which is an excellent feature to have on (which, by the way, was introduced in the iPhone 7 back then in the day). OnePlus at $699 doesn't provide any feature as such. Moreover cameras on the iPhone support next-generation SmartHDR, which is, by far the biggest leap in the photo and video quality in a smartphone. Well, putting down this - simply, the iPhone camera may not feature a 48 megapixel camera but in real world usage it is going to outperform the OnePlus 8. Well if you are forgetting, let me remind (or acknowledge you) that the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro alongside the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL feature a 12 megapixel cameras as the main sensor, yet the photo and video quality are excellent in relative smartphone terms.

• Design may seem pretty old on the iPhone SE yet it is the most popular smartphone design of all time. And well, people are very much acquainted with the iconic Touch ID which still works quite seamlessly.

• The display on the iPhone may not be the best-in-class but still it is a good compact display by today's terms. It has a great colour accuracy with a compact form factor which people have been loving over the generations of the device.

And well the specifications do matter; what actually matters in the real world is the experience you get using the product. Which is more important in my opinion. And this all alone makes the iPhone better than the OnePlus 8 in my opinion.

And if you like you can still choose between either of these products in my opinion because at the end of the day, it is our satisfaction for the money we're paying which matters.

I have the 6s right now, and I'm excited to get the SE. After messing with some other phones over the last 2-3 years, I've realized I kinda prefer the smaller screen size, 4.7" seems to be just what I want for a phone. Definitely will be a very worthy budget upgrade when the time comes

Call me crazy, but I’m trading in my XS Max for this new black SE. Reason is that I’m waiting for the 12 but I find the Max way too big and prefer the smaller iPhones. I wish I purchased the smaller XS originally but lessons learned. It won’t cost me anything for the trade and is a cheap purchase until the 12 is finally released. It will suit me perfectly as I’ll have Touch ID once again, a lovely small and sleek design, A13 chip, and when the 12 is finally released, it’ll be like like a new huge upgrade again. Before anyone says, yes, i am taking a step down but it will be a cost free swap and almost a nostalgic feel albeit with a new phone.

My parents don't care for technology. My mom still has the Galaxy S 7. It's been really glitchy lately. This is perfect for her since it has the latest tech at a great price. She probably will keep this one for five years as well.
