How a common surgery is contributing to the opioid crisis

There's a new warning about painkiller addiction and how it can start after a common surgery. About five million Americans choose to have their wisdom teeth removed every year. Most are adolescents and young adults, ages 17 to 21. Meg Oliver reports.

How high are y'all? I've had 2 teeth pulled, that stuff HURTS! they don't re-numb you before you leave. In fact, they wait 2 hours after you're numb to come pull on your teeth. You're not getting addicted by those 7 pills of tabs. The person had to have already been addicted before they had the surgery. I'm not suffering because y'all out here overusing the meds. I'm already undertreated as it is! They won't stop giving them the meds, just my black self. Okay?

It’s crazy because they prescribed me 7.5’s and ever since I’ve been taking them this was in 2018 btw

No the dea is to blame for shutting down the drs and cracking down on pain management doctors now everyone went to dope cause there is no pills

This happened to me 20 yrs ago. I was just a kid and when i felt that pill....i never forgot. Just a taste and many never forget and think they can play with them...WRONG!!!! Its like legal heroin and will take over your life!
