NEW Raspberry Pi 2! Quad-Core! 900Mhz! 1GB RAM!

Almost 3 years ago, the revolutionary Raspberry Pi microcomputer was released to the general public. Since then it has whipped up a fanatical teaching frenzy and passion for computer science and technology; both in schools and in homes. Despite its monumental success the Raspberry Pi now appears dated - the processor at its heart is a 700MHz monolith that just can not keep up with the educational applications the Pi needs to run.

These are great news! I was ready to buy an Amazon fire tv dongle for XBMC. Now I can have a pi 2 installed in a small custom box, load different applications through berryboot (including XBMC off course!) and also use it as a light weight but actually usable computer. Sweet!!

Pycharm runs on a rPi2 (at a usable speed)!!! and that's all I can ask for. Ninja-IDE is now full speed! So happy with this little thing. User experience is much better than the old Pi!

so just how powerful is it ? can it be used as a web browsing PC ? i wouldn't mind strapping one to the back of on old LCD monitor i got.

so can you use a blackberry or samsung charger for the power suply. also whet is the sd slot for on the back is that just for sd and nothing to do with power

Just started watching your videos. Haven't dug into the Pi too much but I wanted to ask how hard it would be to slap on an audio card then install several buttons onto free GPIO pins while using XBMC? Have you done any videos covering this on a B+?
