Car guys please purchase a coolant pressure test kit that way you can shoot the amount of psi your coolant system is rated to handle in your driveway and make sure your coolant keeps your motor cool before being in the midddle of the freeway with a blown hose

Ya should just put an LS in it, i have my fathers m5 still but when my 335 shit the bed for the second or third time the swap was about the same price as a rebuild. Its not for everyone but looks like your having fun. 👍🏼🇺🇲

I’d say buy new hoses and a new expansion tank. Apart turbo problems the cooling system is the achilles heel of e90s. Theres also a couple plastic connectors you can upgrade to aluminum ones

You must bleed the cooling system of air. It's got 2 bleeder screws on top of the expsnsion tank and the oil/water cooler.

Mmmm water pump? Was the fan on full plast when the engine was cold “fist start” that’s usually an indicator of a failed electric water pump on a e9x

Has happened to me before. Thought I bled the cooling system bled properly after replacing pump & tstat & a couple hoses. Guess not.

Re-did the bleeding process TWICE after getting fresh coolant, and car has been great for 4k miles since.
