This video of mine may be an inferior version of the officially produced one
But I've come to love the series enough to try my hand at it anyway. It's been awhile since I had to keep my handkerchief beside me as I never fail to tear up while editing/watching scenes from episode 12.
The energy and enthusiasm the wotas display towards the idols make me emotional every time.
There's something endearing about watching them wholeheartedly supporting their favorite idols, wanting nothing in return apart from the group becoming more successful.
I thought my time with this show was sadly over but being in the ClariS discord present numerous opportunities to screengrab a ridiculous act or quote from our lovable wotas.
I sing my highest praises to this show and series but it was 2 weeks ago when I decided to sit down and listen to the full opening CLover Wish.
I was astounded by how much I immediately loved it. I'm confused why the song never grabbed me during my first viewing but regardless, it's what made me seek out more of the soundtrack.
I did not pay much attention to the songs or the supporting idols the first time around as I was actually a bit embarassed watching them dance. But I've long since cast that shame away!
With their colors, they are basically a sentai team lol. Hot Summer Holiday is a banger! Zutto ChamJam is unbelievably catchy and Fall in Love sounds super cute!
I never noticed but all the idols are gorgeous! The artist can really design eye catching females. I said previously that I would be an Aya fan but that has since changed during the editing of this AMV.
So here's my ranking
1. Yuuka - I love her design the most not to mention her outspoken character. Her voice is cute as well. She may be the youngest but I feel she can go far if she really strives for it.
2. Aya - I still love how she very much wants to succeed in the idol industry and is not afraid to show it. She might never be the center but I'm sure she won't give up.
3. Maina - She is a really cute character and I await the day we get to see her express more emotions. Throughout the show, she rarely has a change of expressions but the few times she does is memorable.
4. Reo - The pink leader of the group and the most experienced. She's the pillar of support and fully believes they can make it to Budokan. I believe in her in too!
5. Yumeri - The scene at 2:20 opened my eyes to her. Being paired all the time with Maki doesn't let her do much which is a shame because she is probably the sexiest of the idols. I hope she gets a solo arc where we can see more of her.
6. Maki - She is a natural mature beauty. I feel she is more suited to be a model than an idol so I expect that to be a plot line down the road.
7. Sorane - She has a good amount of screentime but she is my least liked of the idols in terms of design and character.
And there you have it, I may use Hot Summer Holiday someday but as of now, all I wish is for an English publisher to pick this series up or a season 2! Some figurines would make me happily open my wallet too.
If I get to own the full series in English then I would die!
