What about our future. Is there hope? Could one day there be a cure, or at least a way to breathe easier. I talk about research, and in particular the Zephyr, lung valves, and more

Omgosh Derek so glad to see you. I will be talking to my pulmonologist about these things. Why did I not know these things! Why does our pulmonologist not tell us these new things! If you remember me I'm in the USA and my twin and I both have severe COPD, she wears oxygen and I don't. We're 59. I have missed you. I was telling my husband last week that I have missed your vlogs. Since your last vlog my sister and I have visited with our Aunt and she has Willed her lungs to us. We were floored. She is nearly 80 years old and had her lungs checked and they are in excellent condition. Now here it is, we told her how much we love her and we hope she lives a long happy and healthy life like our Grandmother did, 93. Our mother passed away in 1966, car accident. Derek I will say just that gesture alone gives us hope. Please keep us up to date on your journey. 🤗😁

Hello again Derek. I've just read "American Dilo's" post, and your reply to him/her. I too have just been diagnosed with mild copd and was delighted to read that end stages might not be reached! Don't worry, I don't take it as read, but if anything...that really has given me hope. 😊 Bless you Derek for helping so many us to hang on and never give in. Thank you so very much indeed and ...breathe easy Derek 😀

I'd just found out that I have mild COPD from my recent CT scan that I get every year. I'm 59 now and quit smoking decades ago, and now I have it. I was also a welder as well. Thank you for sharing

Thankyou Derek I really enjoyed this video and when you said never give up you must be a real fighter to have lasted as long as what you have. And very determined what really keeps you going? What is your focus on everyday? Do you enjoy helping others? And you do this very well in your videos and emails.

Great videos Derek, Thankyou so much.
I’m in London UK.
My oxigen drops to about 90/91 when lying down.
I’m about 94.5 by ABG and about 95 by Oximetry sitting up but I noticed that my oxygen drops to about 93 or lower after I eat, is that normal?
I take whey protein about 30grams per meal and I find it really helps my muscles 💪 Im 55 but also have symptoms of MND since 2016 but Nurologists so far have said they don’t think I have it.
I’m currently waiting to see another Nurologist soon at St Georges London.
