It’s funny isn’t it? We have a bunch of voters who were afraid that we’d be more of a socialist country under Bernie, they were afraid of Venezuela and Cuba, never mentioning countries where it works well like Canada, or Sweden. Yet, The irony is that they are so afraid of being a socialist country like the first two I stated that they never realize on the spectrum we are such a Capitalist country that it’s bad, when 40, 000 people die a year because They can’t afford health insurance, when our soldiers are living on the street, when two people commit the same crime and can get two completely different verdicts, When mother earth is literally dying, when you can buy an election. This country this world needs a really strong pull in the other direction, you can call it handouts, you can call it socialism But whatever you decide to call it this world needs it.

Thomas Piketty is a brilliant and famous economist over the course of the twentieth century. These books are easy to read and understand as to how liberalism economy works. That's was a wonderful interview and I hope, you invite many more economist figures like him during your show for ur happiness.

Both Thomas Piketty and Ray Dalio are one many economist that are advocating equality. This is a very important aspect to economy growth for any country. The creative team is really sharp addressing discouragement of innovation and wealth when it comes to increasing equality. I'm very happy with the answer as well. Wow I cannot believe Trevor has Piketty to his show. Well-executed interview - Piketty can get long-winded at times ("Capital in the 21st C" was 577 pages without notes and his latest book was over 1000 pages....) and Trevor was able to keep the topic relevant and comprehensible to the general public.

This french scholar is like a fresh breeze of air reminding us we can use this time to reflect and learn! I can yell this until my face turns blue and my parents still dismiss me as being radical. They insist capitalism is best economic system. If this crisis doesn’t convince them that capitalism’s priorities are perverse, then I can’t count on them to use logic to make their decisions
