Thanks for your amazing sermons! I love them. You truly have a gift! In regard to what you said about how you disagree with the government giving money to the poor:

-Just because the government gives some of my tax dollars to the poor does not excuse me or prevent me from tithing or giving money to the poor. I still do it, and I do it with love.
-Churches are tax exempt and can still help the poor even if the government uses tax dollars to help the poor.
-If the government stopped giving money to the poor and instead gave that back to all Americans in the form of tax cuts, I'm not sure if all Americans would turn around and given all of that money back to the poor.
-It would be amazing if government assistance was not needed to support the poor and if everyone gave freely with love to help the poor, but sadly this is not the case.
-I believe that, as Christians, we should rejoice and praise God when the poor are given financial help, whether that is through tithes or through government assistance.

Praise the Lord for all that you do to help people, Pastor Doug. I am grateful for you. God bless you and all who are reading this! Glory to God!
