The Olympic judges were the first ones to make a mistake. Put their names on blast.

You casually forgot to mention the other Romanian gymnast (SABRINA VOINEA) who is the rightful winner of the bronze medal. She was wrongfully deducted for an OOB she did not commit. Without the incorrect deduction, her score would have been 13.800, higher than Jordan's 13.766.

Sabrina Voinea (the other Romanian gymnast) is the one who should have won the bronze medal. The judges incorrectly penalized her for stepping out of bonds when she didn't.

Normally, Barbosu and Chiles should not take the medial but Voinea, but the judges deducted 0.1 because it is assumed that she crossed a line that was not crossed. It's a fiasco caused by some careless judges

If we are going by the rules Voinea who was in 5th came 3rd and should get the medal. She was deducted for stepping out when the crowd and video evidence shows she didnt.

Minus that deduction would have her clear 3rd.

This is a whole messy situation. What everybody agrees with is that Jordan should've gotten the 13.766 so penalize the judges for creating this mess in the first place by not awarding the correct score.

Jordan’s case is the first time ever that any Olympic Medalist (regardless of color) got their medal stripped due a judging error!!

Jordan Chiles did not deserve that medal in the first place. If anyone watched and know gymnastic, the Romanian gymast routine was better than hers. That is the reason why she was in third place. The panel who honored Chiles inquiry and changed the results should be investigated. They had to do a hell of a score fixing to change Chiles from fifth to third place. That entire Olympics was no more than an American made joke.

Romanian gymnast won bronze from the initial judges score. Forget weather or not USA filed inquiry in time. Regardless of that, Barbosa won bronze. This is as clear as day. Now, the US gymnastics was ordered to return the bronze so that it can be reallocated to Barbosu. It would look unprofessional and selfish on behalf of the US committee in front of the world by preventing the other gymnast from getting her medal. Ana Barbosu scored higher and deserves it most. Congratulations Ana. US won the most medals in these Olympics and to complain and not wanting to return the medal as ordered shows typical American greed and selfishness, which is all against of what the Olympic spirit is all about.

Please get the terminology right bc it does matter. Jordan’s coaches submitted an INQUIRY-NOT an appeal. The Romanian gymnastics federation filed an appeal.

There’s STILL no video footage of the floor routines by Sabrina, Ana and Jordan (except for NBC) and NOTHING for the coach and judges interaction.
