The B-52 Stratofortess takes off and lands in Royal Air Force Fairford, September 19, 2017. The airmen are deployed to RAF Fairford for a 3 week deployment supporting Bomber Assurance and Deterrence operations. U.S. Strategic Command bomber forces regularly conduct combined theater security cooperation engagements with allies and partners, demonstrating the U.S. capability to command, control and conduct bomber missions across the globe. Bomber missions demonstrate the credibility and flexibility of our forces to address today’s complex, dynamic and volatile global security environment. The B52 and I are about the same age.  I wish I had aged as well!

Redundancy is everything in aviation, I wonder if the B52 has a backup parachute? I also wonder if the engines have reverse thrusters or if the upcoming upgrade engines will have them?
