Griff is one of the best tank counters in the game due to his high damage despite being a controller. He does 560 damage per coin (Max Power) which totals to 5040 damage per ammo if you hit all 9. His super does 7200 at point-blank, covers a good area, lingers, returns, and is a good control tool since he is well, a controller. He needs to be moved to damage dealer and his Super chaining potential is ridiculous. He's also mostly under the radar for now, so he's a solid choice for countering closer-ranged Brawlers if your choices are frequently banned.

From what I've seen in legendary lobbies tho is that Rico often gets banned the most. Maybe it's only lower lobbies tho cus I've only hit legendary 1 so make sure to have an alternate.

As a stu main, having damage gear with gaso-heal isn't really the best combo, yes it is useful most of the time, but I would perfer either Health & Shield or (depending on the map) Speed, as with gaso-heal you can quickly heal up to full health or if you can't consistently use your super, health gear will speed it up.

As a player who isn’t necessarily new, but still has a lot of progression to do, I find that I pull hyper charges frequently enough that I just max out whatever brawlers I already have the hyper for, in order to save gold. Otherwise, just pick one that doesn’t have a hyper yet. This might not be the most meta but you will max out brawlers quicker and you will play more unique brawlers which will be more fune

Tank is definitely Frank or ash, great aggression and great spot in the meta, I’ve hard-carried so many rounds with them!
controller has to be penny, her range makes her a viable marksmen in a way, and the turret, especially Hypercharged, Can restrict the enemy movement so much and help your team in every which way, it‘s amazing!
For support I’d say berry. He can also act as your thrower of choice. His healing potential is unmatched, and with his hyper you can get so much area coverage that it acts more like a death zone for the enemies, as your entire team can get heals and the stake insane damage. His gadget and suprisingly high damage also make him pretty viable in brawl ball as a last resort.
