This is what I’m looking to do. I want to disable phone ring sound notification but want all other sound notifications enabled. Are you able to do this?

I've wanted the feature forever! I love it because it let's me control what I want to be disturbed by or by nothing at all. The different options to create focus themes is very helpful and the share across devices is brilliant.

My issue with focus is it doesn’t seem to let you “allow all” and then specifically disallow certain people or apps as you progress to finding out which notifications you’d like to silence. It starts from a “least permissive” standpoint, but I’d rather it start the opposite.

2 things they could improve about Focus: 1. Allow to choose what wallpaper we want in each focus mode. 2. Allow to customize the dock at the bottom for each focus mode. :)

I don’t understand. When I enable personal in which I only allow my partner it doesn’t show their what’s app notifications. So I enabled what’s app and now I have every what’s app notifications coming through. Am I able to only get my partners what’s app notifications? If so how?

With iOS14, my phone was in do not disturb only when the screen was locked and I cant seem to find this option in iOS15. Do you know if there is a way to allow notifications when I'm on my phone?

WHEN YOU CUSTOMIZE AND CREATE A NEW FOCUS CAN YOU ALSO FORMAT A NOTIFICATION THAT GETS SENT TO CALLERS SO THAT THEY KNOW YOU HAVE THE SETTING ON.

The old DND mode had a setting which allowed notifications to come through when using the phone, however this isn’t happening anymore. Have Apple removed it or moved the setting elsewhere?


For example when I’m on my phone scrolling away I’m happy for notifications to come through but when it’s locked I don’t want any.

Hi zollo I’m hoping you see this, when click on location from focus mode, and start typing address, no address comes up. Is there a privacy setting that I need to turn on?

An interesting "activation" event would be "getting awake" (with a time limit) and "getting sleep" with more and less activity. Detected by microphone maybe and screen activity. Also the gyro sensor...maybe the easiest one.

Is definitely my favourite feature in IOS15. Being using it on the beta on my iPad and customising for certain situations is great. When the constant bad news gets too much I can turn on a Focus mode I have set up so I don’t get any notifications from news sources. It’s a fantastic feature.

When I go into my settings is only says notifications, sounds and haptics, do not disturb and screen time, but no focus, and I’m on iOS 15.4

So before this new focus when I set to do not disturb and had my favorites chosen to be able to get a hold of me when they called repeatedly. It did not ring or chime when they texted me only when they phoned me. Now during do not disturb text and calls come through how do I turn off the text sound or is there a way?
