Rosanna is a song by Toto, originally written by David Paich. It was released in 1982 on the album Toto IV. The song features some amazing vocals and various interesting drum beats, including a half-time shuffle resembling both a Purdie shuffle and a Bo Diddley beat. There are multiple keyboard solos by David Paich and Steve Porcaro that were recorded on a number of keyboards. The name "Rosanna" comes from a joke that came about because the band members thought that the song was written about Rosanna Arquette. This piano arrangement of Rosanna is fantastic to perform. This song has a bittersweet feeling to it because on the one hand it's a fun song, but it also reminds me of my freshman year in high school. I was in the band, and this was one of the songs we played in the stands that year. Some good memories, but those times are gone now. I'm in my first year of college now. Even though I'm going to a school not very far from my high school, it feels worlds away. It's small consolation, but at least some of my classmates are attending the same college, so I've got a little piece of nostalgia.
