My husband used to come home for lunch every day. I would feed our 6 month old daughter at the same time. Her high chair was positioned so that she could see the front door. One day he walked in and she said her first words, "Hi Dada!" We were both blown away. He started crying.
She wasn't even 6 months old yet.

I just want parents to know this is how a lot of caring daycare teachers react when we see your kid do something for the first time. Saw a kid in my class take his first few steps (for us at least) and we were hooping’ and hollering’ like it was a sports event.
