You probably haven't heard of Omoda and Jaecoo. They are launching in the UK this year with a range of petrol, hybrid and electric SUVs with some big plans to disrupt the market.

Omoda and its posher sister Jaecoo are two brands from the enormous Chery organisation. Chery is one of China's biggest carmakers and sold over 1.8m cars in its domestic market in 2023.

It has brought these two brands to the UK and sales start very soon. But what cars are they launching? I tell you everything you need to know

Wishing Chery luck. Now's the time when the Chinese corporations are trying out which of their brands can make an impact in Europe, and Chery's doing it right by bringing cars of many price ranges and drivetrains. Some, like Dongfeng have tried bringing their luxury brand Voyah first and foremost which hasn't landed them any customers whereas SAIC did it smart by bringing MG and Maxus first with volume models and only now bringing their luxury IM brand over.

The Quality in that Omado looks better then any Nissan and if it is it will do well. If Nissan can do well with there horrible hard plastic cheap interiors why can't Omado with there much nicer interiors.
